1. WP Rocket

One small aspect that can make a big difference to your readers is the speed of your blog and how quickly your posts load. A fast and easy to use blog will make your readers want to come back for more. Slow speeds, on the other hand, will have them running in the opposite direction.

What’s more, is that Google actually takes your page speed into account when deciding on their rankings, so that the faster your site, the more likely you are to rank highly.  WP-Rocket is a plugin for WordPress that allows you to optimize your site with quick loading speed in mind. This will make your blog run like a finely tuned machine – which makes it one of the best resources for bloggers .

2. Elementor Pro

If you are looking for your blog to stand out from the competition, and look different to every other blog on the web, then you need Elementor Pro. This is a plugin theme and page builder which allows bloggers to create a design that is unique to them and is not simply a popular template. The plugin is great as it allows you to increase the design details in your blog without knowing complex code.

3. Bluehost

Bluehost is a great WordPress hosting platform. It’s also one of the more affordable resources for bloggers! It allows you to create a free personalized domain name and allows you to customize what your blog will look like on their interface. For a subscription that is as low as $2.75 each month, you will become the blog’s sole owner, which is an advantage that not all platforms have. Additionally, you can add on other bonus features such as SSL without limiting any of the personalized features.

4. SiteGround

Site Ground is a great alternative to Bluehost, that is great for beginner bloggers. If you are starting out or on a tight budget, the fees work out at only $3.95 per month for new users, making it one of the most affordable on the market. Compared to other hosts, it has more features and perks included, such as free daily backup of content, unlimited emails, built-in cache to increase speed, free SSL and 24-hour chat and phone support, meaning that there are always experts on hand if you are having issues.

5. ConvertKit

One of the must have resources for bloggers is an email marketing software. Most bloggers include an email subscription on their website so that readers can receive emails about new content you have posted or find out the latest news from your platform. ConvertKit makes this easier. The email marketing platform makes it easy to include many different opt-in options across your blog pages. The tool is very intuitive and offers different opt-in freebies as an incentive for readers, making them more likely to engage in your content.

6. Canva Pro

Adding in eye-catching graphics and digital photos to your blog can really engage readers and draw them to visit your other blog posts. Canva is a great way to create these graphics, whether you are using your own photos, or finding stock photos to edit and adjust. The Canva Pro platform also allows you to access premium images and graphics as part of their package, as well as adding in beautiful and trendy fonts to your content.

7. Over

If you are used to creating blog content on your phone, another great graphics app to try out is Over. Over is great for when I am not working on my laptop but need a quick graphic to add to my content. It is easy to use and is great for seeing how graphics look on mobile devices. Readers are engaging with blogs from their smartphones more and more, so it is important that the content looks just as great for them, and the Over app can help with this. Combine this and Canva to create your blog visuals, and you can’t go wrong.

8. Grammarly

Even the best writers make mistakes and typos once in a while, thats where Grammarly comes in! This is the one tool that I use every day. I wouldn’t even think of publishing a blog post without putting it through the Grammarly system first. Grammarly is a browser extension that checks for mistakes within my spelling, grammar and punctuation. It also suggests on ways to improve my writing. While there is a free option, the paid full package is affordable and definitely worth it for all bloggers.

A great way to ensure that all your blogs are on Pinterest for people to find is by using an app called Tailwind. Tailwind works with Pinterest and schedules your blog posts, allowing them to be easy found on the Pinterest site, making it super easy to increase traffic to your blog.

10. Legal Pages

Something that you may not automatically think about when starting a blog is legal pages, but these are vitally important. Legal pages can include information such as a cookies policy, terms of use, privacy policy and DMCA. 11. Google Analytics

To help understand how your blog is doing, Google Analytics is a great starting point. I use this to see how my blog is performing, measure the amount of traffic to my site and identify the demographics of the visitors to my page. In doing so, this allows me to tailor my content accordingly in an attempt to increase readership.

12. Monster Insights

Monster Insights is a plugin for WordPress that can add Google Analytics onto your WordPress dashboard, meaning that you do not have to flick between pages. This makes it easier to access the information you need and should save you time when writing your content.

13. Google Search Console

Google Search Console is another powerful resource for bloggers that gives you insight into how your blog is performing with regards to its Google Search Ranking. It identifies what people are searching for when your site appears and which of your blog posts are most commonly searched. This will allow you to understand your audience more and tailor future content and keywords towards them.

14. Site Kit

Another WordPress plug in to look out for is Site Kit. If you are a fan of using Google Tools like the ones we listed above, Site Kit lets you manage all these tools directly from your WordPress dashboard, meaning that they are easily accessible. This will save you time and hassle, making it easier to get your blogs finished and published.

15. Ryte

If you already have an established blog, it can be difficult to identify where it needs improvement. This is where tools like Ryte come in. Ryte looks at your site and sends a report on how it is performing. The free performance report is great, and the detailed, in-depth one is even better and well worth the small cost. It helps identify aspects of your blog that are great and areas that need improvement. On top of this, Ryte makes suggestions on how you could implement these changes which makes it another of the great resources for bloggers!

16. Ubersuggest

SEO expert Neil Patel created Ubersuggest to help you include relevant SEO content into your writing, ensuring that your blog is as visible as possible. The tool lets you enter keywords that link to your blog content, and it then analyses them, showing you how well that keyword is currently performing and how likely it is to be successful. This tool allows bloggers to see inside which strategies, keywords, and topics are successful for other web content creators, allowing you to improve your own practice, altering keywords accordingly.

17. Stock Photos

If you don’t have your own original photos to add to your blog, it’s important to find high-quality stock images to add in without breaking the bank. Stock photos websites such as Style Stock, and Ivory Mix  are great resources for bloggers, where you can get a subscription of fun, girly stock photos! Other sites such as Unsplash where you can search for images that match your blog content are great FREE options.

One great tip would be that instead of simply inserting these free images as they are into your blog, do something with them to make them stand out and feel unique, for example, use Canva to upload the image and add text on top of it or create a collage of multiple images. This allows you to stand out from the crowd.

The trending topics section on Twitter is great t browse to gain insights into what people are interested in and talking about from current events.
