A good Sunday routine is the key to a more productive and less stressful week! And I mean, less stress and more productivity, who wouldn’t want that? The same way the first of the month sets the tone for the rest of it, Sundays set the tone for the week ahead. So what better way to have a productive week than starting it off with a productive Sunday? Here is my Sunday routine for a productive week!
Table of Contents
Do a Brain Dump
As somebody who always has a million things going on, this is a must for my Sunday routine because it helps me to prioritize my to do list and makes me feel less anxious and overwhelmed. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or feel like your to do list is a mile long, try a brain dump! First, list out all the tasks you need to get done this week. Next, separate that list into 4 categories: urgent and important, important but not urgent, urgent but not important, and not urgent or important.
Put anything that is urgent and important at the top of your to do list and get to work on those tasks ASAP! Schedule anything that is important but not urgent gets into your planner for later that week. If possible delegate anything that is urgent but not important. This might mean asking your husband to help with the kids homework tonight or hiring a VA to help sort through your emails. And finally leave anything that’s not urgent or important (like reorganizing your desk for the 10th time) for a later time.
Fill Out Your Planner
You can’t just plan you have to delegate! Once you’ve made your to do list, schedule the tasks in your planner so that you make sure you’ve put aside time for each task! I use the Day Designer and I LOVE it! It gives me space to schedule out my days hour by hour and includes a top 3 list for your most important to dos!
Plan Out Your Social Media
If you’re a blogger, influencer, or business owner you know that it’s hard to be constantly creating new content. Sunday is my day to create content, edit photos, and schedule everything out. I use scheduling apps like Plann, Later, and Tailwind to set all my posts up in advance. This way I don’t have to think about it during the week and can focus on other things!
Declutter + Tidy Your Space
I feel anxious when my space starts to get dirty or cluttered so I always put a little time aside on Sundays to tidy up! Desk starting to look a bit cluttered? Clothes that need hung up? Turn on a podcast or some music and do a clean sweep around your space!
Self-Care
Self care is super important! My favorite form of self care is a hair mask, face mask, a good book and a bubble bath! For you this might mean going for a walk, baking, gardening, doing yoga, or something totally different! As long as you are doing something for yourself that’s all that matters! It’s easy to get lost in the grind during the week so make sure to take some time for yourself this weekend! Check out my article on how to start a self care routine here!
Spend time with someone you love
Just like it’s easy to forget to take time for yourself during a busy week, it’s also easy to forget to make time for loved ones. Schedule in a little quality time if this is something you struggle with! I always make sure to set aside time to turn my phone off and focus on me and Jon.
So there you go! Thats a quick run down of my Sunday routine! How do you spend your Sunday’s? Let me know in the comment section and as always thanks for stopping by!
