
Who else lives for fun fall activities? This is definitely my favorite season and it’s finally starting to feel like fall here in Charlotte! So, in the spirit of fall here’s 27 fun photoshoot ideas to try this season!

1. Showcase fall foliage
Find a spot where there are plenty of colorful trees and start snapping away! This is even better if you find a spot that has two rows of trees lined up behind you like Tuileries Garden or the Mall in Central Park.
2. Front porch decor 🎃
Nothing says autumn more than showing off your favorite fall home decor. Decorate your porch with some pretty pumpkins and fall flowers for an easy and fun home photoshoot! And if you live in a city don’t forget to explore your neighborhood, you never know what other amazing porch decor you’ll find right around the corner!
3. Hold a bouquet of leaves. 🍂
Pick up a bouquet of beautiful colorful leaves and shoot a flatlay of yourself holding them!
4. Sitting on a park bench🍁
Just as the title says, go sit in a park! This is super easy to recreate anywhere in the world! The key is to find a good spot with colorful trees in the background!
5. Apple picking 🍎
Bring a basket, a blanket, or a ladder to add a little extra something. to your photo!
6. Fall map flatlay 🍁
You can create this photo anywhere, outside with fall foliage or inside with some twinkle lights and and fall props!
7. A fall picnic 🍁
Nothing says fall like a picnic under the fall foliage! This makes for a great fall photoshoot and you can take these photos alone, with a significant other, or with a girlfriend! To make this photo really pop make sure to bring cute hats, a stylish Picnic Basket & Waterproof Picnic Blanket, perfect for the rainier time of year.
8. Make a leaf skirt
This cute trend is so fun to do and while it may be a little tricky to get this shot perfect its definitely worth the ffort!
Here are some tips to get your shot just right: the easiest way is to have one person hold the leaf while you pose behind it and another person take the photos! This way the leaf will be centered and clear! or if you only have two people take one shot with you posing and one shot of just the leaf and later use PicsArt or photoshop to add the leaf photo ontop of the photo of you!
9. Watch your favorite Halloween Movie
Set up a a cute fall scene with your favorite Halloween movie! You can use a large TV, projection screen, or even your laptop for this! Don’t forget some fall accessories in the background to really get an autumn vibe in the photo.

10. Toss leaves in the air🍂
This is such an easy fall photoshoot idea you can create anywhere in the world. Just grab a pile of colorful leaves, and throw. You can either throw the leaves up in the air, or you can blow them towards the camera! To make sure you capture the movement in your shot put your camera on continuous shoot or your phone on burst mode!
11. Make a shape with leaves🍁
This is such a cute photo idea! Lay on the ground and have someone help you create a shape around you with some fallen leaves then have them shot the photo from above!

12. Fall bicycle ride 🎃
Get your bicycle out (or rent one) and use it as a prop for your next fall photo! Fill the basket with leaves and or pumpkins to create even more fall vibes for your photo!

A fun and easy prop to incorporate in your photoshoot is an umbrella! Use a bright fall colored umbrella to make your photo pop OR DIY your prop by adding leaves to your umbrella!

This is an easy and cute fall flatlay you can do from home!Just decorate your fall themed doormat but some cute booties on and shoot your photo from above!
16. Fall roadtrip 🍁
Fall road trips are the best! Show off your fall adventure by having an impromptu photoshoot in your vehicle. Be sure to add your favorite fall accessories such as a map, a cozy outfit, and a drink, and have a scenic background to really make this photo pop!
17. Hiding behind a colorful leaf
This fall photoshoot idea is super simple but so cute! Find a beautiful leaf and play around with it! Hold it out to the camera, hold it in front of your face, or get bae involved and share a kiss behind a big leaf!

This is an adorable photoshoot idea! If you cant find a spot that already has a swing like this you can easily buy one online and reuse it for other photoshoots! Here’s a few swing options you can purchase online:
23. Pumpkin Patch
Nothing says fall more than Pumpkins! Find a local pumpkin patch and have a photoshoot!
All pumpkin patches are different. Some will have cute decorations such as benches, homes, or walls of pumpkins that you can incorporate in your photoshoot, while others just will have the pumpkins laying on the ground. So you’ll have to be creative.
Here are some ideas:
- Hold a pumpkin
- Sit on a Pumpkin
- Throw a Pumpkin
- Kiss a Pumpkin
- Take photos from a low angle to show all the pumpkins.
24. Holding hands over leaves
This photoshoot with bae is too cute!! You’ll need to ask a friend for help on this one but its worth the effort! Lay the leaves out in a heart shape on the ground, then hold hands with someone over the leaves, and have a third person shoot the photo from above!
25. Carving Pumpkins
Another easy flatlay you can do from home! Carve your pumpkins, clean up the mess, and and set them up an Instagram worthy scene around them then shoot your photo of the scene from above!
26. Find a wall of ivy
If you live near a town with some older homes, be on the lookout for beautiful ivy walls like the ones below! Some ivy changes to fall colors, and will make for an amazing backdrop to your photos.
27. Fall Views
Depending on where you live these spots may not be the easiest to find BUT if you live near any sort of overlook don’t miss the chance to have a gorgeous fall photo shoot there!
